The annual water heater maintenance checklist for Dubai
Anode, element, T&P valve, sediment flush — what your engineer should be doing every year.
A water heater is one of the few appliances in a UAE villa where preventive maintenance literally doubles service life. If you do nothing else, do these four checks every year.
Anode rod: pull it, look at it, replace if more than 50% consumed. Element: ohm it out, look for scale build-up. T&P valve: lift the lever and confirm it seats cleanly. Sediment flush: drain to clear, ideally with a Hydrojet®-compatible inlet.
Schedule the visit before summer peak demand — late spring is ideal. That way you catch failing parts before the system is under load.
